Road Safety Teaching Resources

Lesson plans and downloads to help teach road safety

Somerset Road Safety is committed to reducing the number of casualties on the county’s roads involving children and young adults. Information on the different training interventions and programmes run by Somerset Road Safety for children and young adults can be found in the ‘Teacher Info’ section of this website.

Somerset Road Safety has also designed a set of road safety activity sheets for Key Stage 1 and 2 children, all of which are available for download click here.

The government’s THINK! Campaign aims to encourage safer behaviour to reduce the number of people killed and injured on our roads every year. To that end they have put together a set of lesson plans for teaching road safety to children and young adults, the lesson plans are organised by Key Stage and are all available as downloads. If you believe that this material would be a useful resource to aid teaching the young people in your care the importance of road safety then click here to be directed to the THINK! Resource centre.

Help keep the children in your care safe by teaching them the importance of practising good road safety.
